The Crystal Cabin Awards
The Crystal Cabin Awards, founded by the Joint Initiative Hamburg, is designed to recognize unique and innovative concepts and products related to aircraft cabin interiors.
The Crystal Cabin Awards were created to spur innovation at research facilities and companies, with the intent of supporting modern designs and new products for aircraft cabin interiors. The ultimate goal of the Crystal Cabin Awards is to innovate big improvements in the comfort of passengers, and to provide support for eco-friendly and economical solutions.
The Senate of the Hanseatic and Free City of Hamburg has donated this unique honor, and has created a unique success: over fifty applicants from fourteen nations put forth entries to the first Crystal Cabin Awards, which was the first international award for aircraft interior innovation and excellence. Six awards were given out, and more than two hundred articles were written about the awards within days of the announced winners!
The Crystal Cabin Awards are judged by an expert panel of designers from the international aviation community. Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Lufthansa and Air France are just a few of the judges.
