Breyer State University offers a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design. This program is through their online distance education program and allows students to learn the skills they need in order to succeed in their field, all from the convenience of home! Enrollment in this online Interior Design degree program is on an open time frame; students may begin the program at any time.
Students are given 10 weeks to complete each online course, and up to 6 months to complete the Symposium course. Each student will have one-to-one ratio for faculty mentoring as well as free access to Breyer State University’s Study Tactics, Resources Center, and online libraries. This Interior Design degree is completed in 120 semester hours at a cost of $400 per course.
The curriculum for this online degree includes Introduction to Interior Design, History of Interior Design, Principles of Space Planning, Basics of Furniture Designs, Principles of Floor Plan Drafting, Basics of Blue Print Reading, Theory and Applications of Designing with Color, Principles of Interior Lighting, Theory and Applications of Design Materials, Theory and Applications of Fabric and Accessories, Interior Design Symposium, and Interior Design Practicum.
All the courses required for this online Interior Design degree are design related—there are no general education courses involved, allowing students to maximize their education value and enter the workforce quickly. The Symposium and Project courses are an opportunity for each student to gain a deeper understanding in a particular area of focus, and to create a comprehensive project.
